I'm not that crazy, really!

Last night, I fear that I confirmed my suspicions, that I am indeed not of sound mind, or am at least a little eccentric.

First of all, the Stein. No, I didn’t do anything incredibly stupid under the influence of alcohol. I was actually quite sober, when I chose to voluntarily help clean it up afterwards. And the truly disturbing thing is – I’d do it again.

Secondly, there was the meal afterwards at a pleasant Chinese restaurant. Well, that may sound quite civilized, but not when you add a plate of roasted chili pepper pieces to the mix. Now, admittedly that wasn’t my idea, but I certainly had no qualms when it came to competing for who could eat the most. Now, after tasting the wrath of 15 of the tongue-burrowing pyromaniacs, I should have been satisfied by my achievement. But no, I just had to topple the record of 19. Now surely my math’s degree would give me some sort of concept of which number proceeds 19, and it’s certainly not 30!

Although my brain was quite pleased with the accomplishment, it turned out that my tongue was not particularly impressed by this feat, and after I’d recovered from the dizziness induced by the hyperventilating sustained in an attempt to cool it down, my stomach made it known that it was in agreement with my tongue. Fortunately, my stomach’s protests were not expressed by the expulsion of any non-gaseous material, so my brain got away with little in the way of repercussions, and would probably consider doing it again, given the opportunity.

Ah, good times… such is the freedom of not conforming to the rationales of society!
