Yes, that's right, a NEW POST!

Well… time to dust of the blog and write something! Yes, I’ve been neglecting writing stuff for a while now, due to a combination of not knowing anything significant to write, and not being bothered. Not that this post is going to be very significant, but I am bored and all of the mundane time-wasting activities that I’ve occupied myself thus far tire me.

Heh, funny how in procrastination much can be achieved, but the actual task that is being procrastinated. Blogging certainly benefited from my exam studytime! So I guess that leads to the question, what is it that I’m procrastinating now? Maybe Christmas shopping, in fact, most probably Christmas shopping, and this squalid mess that is my desperately-in-need-of-tidying room.

Speaking of exams, I passed them all! I even got an A+ in Math334, the subject in which I received a D in last year! And yes, now I finally have a degree! And what to do with it? I have no idea… I think I’ll avoid the real world and go back to uni next year anyway.

I’ve been working almost fulltime since exams, doing building. I’ve been building in Chch not Gore, since the Gore job won’t be happening for quite a while after all. I was still down there last weekend for Tim and Phillipa’s wedding, which went very well. What didn’t go very well was the starter motor on the ol’ van. But we made it down there and back up with no major problems, despite weather! The van actually ticked past 250,000 kms on the trip, and I don’t think it has much longer to live *sob*.

The tramp that was going to happen, didn’t. A victim of yucky weather. Anyway, what is with this weather at the moment? Right now it’s cold, wet and windy outside, and it’s supposed to be summer, the longest day is only a few days away! Maybe we’ll have a white Christmas after all. I blame America, with their polluting and global warming and all, and besides, blaming America is the “in thing” at the moment.

Anyway, I was planning to do another tramp after Christmas or New Years. If anyone’s keen, get hold of me, I haven’t arranged anything like time, length or place yet, it’s all dependent on the availability of everyone.

Well, nothing too deep or personal in this post so far, not that I don’t have anything deep or personal to share – I do. In fact, when I said that I didn’t know of anything to write before, well, there’s plenty of things to write about really, it’s just that they’re all of my problems, much of which I can’t yet define, understand or untangle, and I don’t wish to unload upon you the full burden of the confusion of my thoughts. Well not yet anyway…

I also have a tendency to expect some sort of response when I share my feelings and worries, perhaps not sympathy or advice, but just to know that people listen and care, and blogging isn’t perhaps the best medium for that. I’d much rather talk in person, yet the right opportunity to do so is rare, and rarer still is my taking advantage of such opportunities. So I’ll stick to blogging for now, and try to break my troubles up into individual posts, of which a couple have touched on already. I hope I don’t sound too melancholic, but I am often, and I do want to get these things of my chest, so bear with me when I do get around to posting on them :)

Anyway, I hope you’re all enjoying your holidays (in between working for some!), and Merry Christmas to all if I don’t see you before then.
